MediaVolt is not a third-party media streaming or download service. Instead, our turnkey solution converts your CDs & DVDs to MP3, MP4 and MKV files and is then organised on a Media Server platform we install on a computer or NAS.
How it works:
A carry-on Inflight Entertainment System.
Media Volt unites a MacBook laptop and installed media server with a portable travel router and our unique disc-to-digital service. The tiny travel router is configured as a non-internet accessible hotspot for your wireless media streaming.
- Connect up to twelve devices for simultaneous content streaming.
- MacBook is both AC & battery powered - MacMini is AC power only.
- For larger media collections, 4TB & 8TB SSD storage options are available.
Unlike a hard disk drive (HDD), an SSD has no moving parts to break or spin up or down, helping to safeguard your content from shock and vibrations.
We will install your Media Server, organise your libraries/folders, and index/optimise your disc-to-digital DRM-free content.
Each title is accurately named and saved in individual folders which store the main feature, artwork, trailer and NFO files which your server will read and populate your screen beautifully. Where available, we will also include the feature theme song which will play in the background as you browse your titles.
We will convert your CDs and DVDs to high-quality DRM-free mp4 (video) and mp3 (music) files, with accurate file naming so that we can organise and populate with metadata (cover art, background graphics, description, cast, directors, genre and more).
You can:
- Send your CDs and DVDs to us in bulk.
- Purchase discs from Amazon and others and have them delivered directly to us.
- If you are starting from ground zero, you can hire us to purchase and create a varied mix of new and older favourite titles for you.
Adding new content
Keeping your collection fresh and up-to-date is as simple as ordering new or used DVDs and sending them to our DIGIRAW Studio. We will convert and create all the necessary files to send to you on a USB storage drive or share a link for you to download them from our cloud. Now download or transfer your new files to your Macbook, open the media server and click scan libraries to update your libraries with your new content.
