How it works:
Media Volt fuses the WD My Passport Wireless SSD mobile hard drive with Plex and the DIGIRAW disc-to-digital service.
WD My Passport Wireless SSD creates its own fast 802.11ac WiFi connection so you can wirelessly connect to your drive.

- Optional Mobile Hotspot (internet access) when you wirelessly connect to a router with internet. Perfect for grounded installs and updates.

With a 1TB or 2TB SSD inside and a protective bumper outside, your content is safeguarded from shock, vibrations and drops up to 1 meter, even when the drive is in operation.
Unlike a hard disk drive (HDD), an SSD has no moving parts to break or spin up or down.
Plex Media Server
Download the free and easy-to-use Plex Media Server to your WD My Passport Wireless SSD. Plex scans and organises your optimised media files, automatically sorting your DRM free media beautifully and intuitively in your Plex library. Then downloaded their app on your favourite mobile devices and you'll be up and streaming everything in minutes.
DIGIRAW Disc-to-Digital Service
We will convert your CDs and DVDs to high-quality DRM free mp4 (video) and mp3 (music) files, with accurate file naming so that Plex can organise and draw down metadata. Delivering a silky smooth streaming service is enhanced with our optimisation process.
You can:
- Send your CDs and DVDs to us in bulk.
- Purchase discs from Amazon and such like and have them delivered directly to us.
- Instruct us to create a varied mix of new and old popular titles for you, or give us a list with your content needs.

Hardware
WD My Passport Wireless SSD, large enough to store and stream hundreds of movies, hundreds of TV Show episodes and hundreds of music albums.
Content
- A mix of movies, TV shows and music albums to include the latest blockbuster releases and popular favourites.
- We source and purchase all your DVDs, convert them to mp4 (video) and mp3 (music). We can also take care of the content choice and take instruction to include specific content you would like included.
Storage
- You own your discs, and upon order completion, we will send them to you or store them for free until you call them home.
- To save space on our free storage service, we will insert your discs in a Logic CD/DVD case and dispose of the original jewel cases at our local recycling centre.
- File backup: With your consent, we will store a back up of your media files.
Service
- WD My Passport Wireless SSD setup and configuration.
- Your media is especially optimised to support smooth wireless mobile streaming and to maximise the number of titles your SSD can hold.
- Transfer your mp4 and mp3 titles to your WD My Passport and set up content folders.
- Install and set up Plex Media Server.
- Optimise, analyse and tweak metadata where necessary.

- Two hours general telephone and email support should you need any pointers beyond our supplied PDF guide.
- Hardware warranties maintained by WD.
- Software updates download from Plex.
No contracts or subscriptions and you own all your discs, your WD Wireless My Passport SSD and the digital file conversions hired DIGIRAW to create.
Because the WD My Passport Wireless SSD can not transcode (on-the-fly file conversion), DIGIRAW will optimise your media to ensure effective streaming.
N.B. Never sell, rent or give away your digital files/content. Always retain ownership of your discs to continue enjoying your digital media.
